After a night with a lot of rain and wind, there was finally a moment in he morning the rain kind of stopped. We were relieved that the rain didn't came in during the heavy weather. Our van passed another test ;) Another challenge was our fight against the condensation. Especially the inside of our toproof likes to attract foggyness. If we pull the top proof down, our sheets get a little wet. We did noticed this problem before. So we turned on our auxiliary heater. (that still worked after going through 35 rivers) Also driving with the car heater on and the windows opened up a little was also a good idea, the windows became clear again. And after 5 minutes of driving the sun came through and we were happy and also surprised because the weather forecast was about rain till the end of our stay in Iceland. In the first place we weren't really happy about the weather forecast, but we heard a story of some people that were 2 weeks on Iceland and they had rain for 2 weeks. We had nice weather from the beginning of our trip. It was the second time we had rain in 1 week. So we declared ourselves lucky. We visited Dyrhólaey, the most southern point of Iceland. There was a big rock in the sea with 2 big holes in it. And one of the holes was that big a ship could sail through it. After that we drove to Skógafoss. This is the waterfall of "Wie is de mol" (dutch programme). We did climed the stairs next to the waterfall. On our way to the next waterfall we were surprised there were houses and barns build into the rocks. It looked really strange like a rock had fall on the house, but the house stood untouched. The next waterfall was the Seljalandsfoss. It's a beautiful waterfall and it's possible to walk behind it. Then we went to the last waterfall of the day, the Gullfoss. I think it's the most famous waterfall of Iceland because it's close to all the main attractions, its big and it goes in 2 big steps that makes it special. After all those waterfalls we got hungry and had some dinner on the parking lot of the main attraction of the day. We saved it for later in the evening because of the crowds, Geysir and Strokkur. Geysir is the geyser that named first as geyser. After that all the geysers were called geyser. (Do you still get it?) Unfortunately he is a little dead now. He erupts just once a day and the eruption only gets like a few meters high. We didn't see it errupt. Strokkur is actually a man made geyser and erupts around 10 minutes and can get 40 meters high. It was really impressive to see. After lingering around the geysers, made a lot of pictures and movies we went to a campsite nearby and had a nice sleep.
