Today was really the last day in the highlands. This day we realised we did a special trip. Driving from the most northern point of Iceland, Hraunhafnartangi to the most southern point of Iceland, Vik. It wasn't our plan, but it just happened. Today it was the most beautiful highland road we did drive until now. It was a bit like the hiking trail we did yesterday. When leaving the campsite there were a lot of hitchhikers, so we took some with us. Coincidentally it was a dutch couple, so we had a nice talk on the way, crossing all those rivers. There were like 15, but we got a hang on it. After a few hours we arrived in Vik. There was a supermarket and we could buy some bread and other nice stuff. We went to the black beach of Vik where we did eat a nice lunch and had a nice stroll along the beach. Unfortunately it started to rain. We decided to go to the campsite having a nice hot chocolate in our van and do some chilling the rest of the day.
